قبل عام ٢٠٠٣ كانت دائرة الصحة تتجول بين الأسواق للتفتيش ،
فكان القصاب يأخذ الموافقة ببيع اللحوم بعد فحص اللحوم و محل الجزارة (شروط الصحة والنظافة) ،
وكانت دائرة المفتشية لدائرة الصحة تغلق المحلات التي لا تستوفي المتطلبات ،
اليوم في العراق كل محلات الجزارة مستوفية للشروط الصحية للحكومة !!!
