في كل مدارس العالم عند أنتهاء الدوام المدرسي ويخرج الطلاب هنالك شخص يقوم بأيقاف السيارت ليعبر الشارع عندما يغادرون الى منازلهم (شرطي مرور أو أحد المعلمين أو متطوعين لهذا العمل المهم خوفاً على سلامة الأطفال) ولكن في العراق ليس لهذا الأمر أي أهمية بالنسبة للمسؤولين ، في العراق يعبرون الأطفال الشارع وحدهم و الشوارع في العراق تخلو من المناطق المخصصة للعبور أو اللافتات المرورية في هذه الأماكن وأكثر سائقي المركبات ليست لديهم رخصة قيادة .
